What a fantastic evening we had for our first annual parade in 3 years. A great turnout of bands with 19 on show including ourselves.
We know ourselves it’s not the most pleasant of parade routes you will ever do so we really do appreciate the support from each and every band that attended. There was also a great turnout of spectators along the route also so thank you for coming and showing your support and filling the collection tins.
Last night was also made extra special with the dedication of our new uniforms which took place in Claudy Orange Hall. Thank you to the Reverend David McBeth for taking the time to come out and dedicate the uniforms. Maybe one day David will put the uniform back on himself.
A special thanks must go out to the ladies which volunteered on the fundraising side of things last night, Barbara on the street collection and Kerry, Joanne and Sandra doing the door in the hotel, which was another success. Thanks must also go out Adrian in the Hotel for accommodating us as always, Gary Mcmusic for getting the place bouncing, the PSNI and of course the marshalling team led by Trevor who as always does a first class job. We are forever grateful.
To end on a sour note, there has been reports of a bit of stone throwing from a property in the village towards a band. Could the band in question please get in contact with us so we can deal with the matter in question.
Thank you once again
