Larne Band Helps Out School

Over the last few days a few of the band members have been visiting Roddensvale School, a school that provides education for children with severe learning difficulties in our home town of Larne.

They noticed a post on their Facebook page requesting some toys that the kids were in need of and yesterday a few of their members took a selection of them to Class JM .

They said

“It is easy to see from the kids faces what this small gesture meant to them and we hope it provides many hours of happiness”.

While the band members were there they asked if there was anything needed done about the school that they could help with and today several members spent the morning clearing and tidying their Memorial Garden for past pupils who have sadly past away.

The band would like to send a special thank you to their members, Lee Hogg, James Brown, Steven Girvin, David Stewart and Ryan Girvan for giving up some of their spare time to do this.

The band have been given permission to share some photos of the children with their new toys and some before and after pictures of the Memorial Garden. To view these photos please visit their Facebook Page by clicking link below.
