Pride of the Hill are a loyalist flute band from Carnmoney.
Carnmoney is a small village attached to Glengormley which is in the Newtownabbey area just outside Belfast. Pride of the Hill have members from all over Newtownabbey and Belfast and always welcome members from any area.

Pride of the Hill were formed in the year 1985 and from then the band have grown strength to strength throughout the years to the current day. In 2010 saw our band reach our 25th Anniversary. Throughout the years the band have had numerous uniforms ranging from sky blue and red in the early days to black, red and gold. Our colours have mainly stayed the same through the years but every now and again we do welcome a total change.

In 2002 were went in a new style altogether with the uniform being dark navy with red and silver trimming and this was the 1st uniform we have had with peaked hats. Since then the uniforms we have got have included jackets or shirts, peaked hats and trousers. Our band is in loving memory of David Lee and Kris Muckle who were members of our band. We now wear their names with pride on our uniform and bannerette. David Lee was one of the founder members of the band and we felt it appropriate to have our band in loving memory of David. Kris Muckle was also a long serving member of our band who sadly died in 2007. The band is honoured to carry their names with us on every parade we do. This dedication also stretches out for past members who have also died and they are also never forgotten.
