Boyne Celebration Parade

Statement from the Provincial Grand Master

Sisters and Brethren,

This Saturday see’s the Province return to the streets of our city, for our Boyne Anniversary Parade; our first Provincial Parade since our Remembrance Parade in November 2019, some 20 months ago!
Our parade on Saturday marks an important step on the path to a more normal way of life, although I am aware that we are far from being through the challenges that we have faced and continue to face as a result of the Covid Pandemic.

I would encourage all who feel able, to support the parade on Saturday, and then in the coming weeks and months to return to our meetings, services and events. I do however appreciate everyone’s pace of return is a personal choice, and I expect lodges to be patient in this unprecedented situation.

To those who are able to attend our parade on Saturday, I hope that we all have an enjoyable day, as we celebrate the 331st Battle of the Boyne anniversary.

We have all faced a situation over the past 16 months which has been very difficult to live with, but let’s look forward with optimism, and pledge ourselves to maintaining and progressing our Institution, to reach out to our members, and potential members with a welcoming hand.

I hope you have a great day and I offer a very warm welcome to our visitors from around the UK.
