Provincial Grand Master Update

Good Morning Sisters and Brethren,

Further to the Grand Lodge of England’s positive statement issued earlier, the Liverpool Provincial Grand Lodge is pleased to announce our plans going forward. As stated in The GL statement, meetings can recommence with effect from 1st July, and lodges and bands will be contacted via the normal channels to arrange this.
Importantly we are delighted to advise that the Province will be on parade in July.
The Provincial Officers have considered extremely carefully the best way forward, taking in to account many things including:

  1. The desire to return to parading,
  2. The welfare of our membership,
  3. The uncertainty in relation to indoor/ enclosed spaces gatherings

With the above in mind – parades will be held as follows:
Saturday 3rd July (pm) – Circular parade to commence our celebrations and to show support for NHS / Key workers. (Moving off from Gardeners Drive, Newsham Park -Details to follow)

Monday 12th July (pm) – Parades from Netherfield Road / Mill Street – combining to parade as full Province and then breaking to return to starting points. (Details to follow)

No parade will be held in Southport.

We are glad that we are able to return to something near to our usual activities, in the relatively near future, and we wish you all well and look forward to joining together for our forthcoming parades, meetings, and events.

We must emphasise that all of the above is dependant upon the progress of the Governments ‘Roadmap’ out of the Pandemic remaining on schedule.
