Bands on the march in Ballymena area on ‘The Twelfth’

A NUMBER of bands have been on the march in the Ballymena district to mark ‘The Twelfth’.

The main Orange Order parades were cancelled this year because of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.

However, individual bands paraded in areas like Ballymena, Ahoghill, Cullybackey and Kells.

Sir George White Memorial Flute Band from Broughshane said on social media: ‘An excellent day’s parading in our home village for the Twelfth. Big thanks to our 4 marshals, to our Drum Major Davy Mercer who did a brilliant job, to the PSNI, to all our own members and to all the spectators who came out to watch us.

‘Also a thank you to Tommy Dowds and to anybody who took any pictures or videos from today.
Together we have made 2020 a 12th to remember for all the right reasons.’
