Vandals attempted to burn a union flag during a break-in at an Orange Hall in Sion Mills, the PSNI have confirmed.
The burglary and criminal damage at the hall in the Tullymoan Road area of Sion Mills occurred at some point over the past month, the PSNI believe.
Sergeant McGuinness said: “Sometime between Friday 15th May and Sunday 7th June, it was reported that entry was gained to the premises and a Union flag had been attempted to be burnt inside. Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We are appealing to anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact police on 101, quoting reference 1405 07/06/20. A report can be made using the online reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport .
