Statement
During today’s Apprentice Boys of Derry procession in Glasgow a sectarian hate crime took place against those participating in the procession.
Members of the association and accompanying band were verbally assaulted and spat on by two members of the public.
Police Scotland did take action and subsequently and arrested those responsible for the hate crime.
We will be following this up with local council representatives and Police Scotland to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
